A beautiful and unusual Irish antique solid sterling silver caddy spoon. It is hallmarked with the Irish hark, a rubbed mark, and the makers mark JS. I would date it to c1825.This may be the mark of the Cork silversmith James Salter? It has a more unusual elongated shell bowl and broad handle and is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 3.5 inches (8.5cm) long by 1.5 inches wide and weighs 10 grams. A very nice example.
