Unusual Scottish Sterling Silver Bookmark Thistle Gilded 1947 Edinburgh Antique

Description

A rare Scottish solid sterling silver gilt bookmark or page maker. It is hallmarked for Edinburgh 1947 with the makers mark being that of Robert James Napier. It has been beautifully designed having an unusual design and has been engraved with a thistle and gilded. It is in superb condition being free from digs splits and repairs. It measures approx. 2 inches (4.7cms) long by 1.25 inches and weighs 7 grams. A beautifully designed rare example.
