Antique Silver Jug

1900 - 1920
Description

A good example of an antique Sterling Silver milk or cream jug. It is a rectangular shape with a gadrooned rim and shaped handle. The jug is stylish and good quality, weighing approximately 135g.

It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1905, Elkington & Co.

It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks, a small dent by the base (see photo) and signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.

The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
