Technical Description

An 18th-century wine glass with a pan top round funnel bowl engraved with detailed flowers around the rim. Sits on a true mercury twist stem with a conical foot.

Comments

An exceptionally rare glass and the first engraved pan top mercury twist we had had in over 20 years.

The foot has had a polish at somepoint in the past and we have taken that into consideration, however, the rarity of the form is outstanding and you won't find another example on line.

Date & Origin

England, c1760. Period of George III.

Condition

No chips cracks or restoration, the foot rim has had a polish.
