Rare Asprey Sterling Silver Engine Turned Pencil Sharpener 1931 Art Deco

1920 - 1940
Description

A superb rare English Art Deco sterling silver pencil sharpener. It is hallmarked for London 1931 with the maker being Asprey & Co Ltd. It has been nicely designed being engine turned. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, slight push to the base possibly from the hallmarks being struck (see final photo), also although it works it could do with sharpening - this is easy to do by simply removing the screw and using a metal file. It measures approx. 1.25 inches (3cm) across by 0.75 inch (1.7cm) tall and weighs 26 grams. A very nice quality rare piece.
