Quality Victorian Silver Ink Well Stand, 1892

Description

An excellent and large Victorian solid silver inkstand, featuring a pierced and shaped gallery with gadrooned edge, pen tray and two removable ink bottles. Vacant cartouche to gallery. Raised on four elegant scrolling feet. All fully hallmarked for London 1892 by Charles Stuart Harris. All components hallmarked and matching.

A superb example, in excellent condition. There is one nut missing from the underside for the ink bottle gallery. The other nut is present so this loss does not affect function or appearance; mentioned for accuracy.

A very impressive inkwell. Wonderful desk accessory.
