The gold cross with angels swinging thuribles at the four points, the Lamb of God in the centre, on a silver backing pierced with fruiting vines, engraved on the reverse 'Omar Ramsden et Alwyn Carr Me Fecerunt MC-M-IV"

Provenance By repute, commissioned for Rev. Francis Gurdon.

The Reverend Francis Gurdon (1861-1929) was, at the time this cross was made, Rector of Limehouse, London. He was appointed Bishop of Hull in 1913.
