Rams Head Antiques has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The glazed doors have pleated ivory linen curtains fitted to the inside and the interior has three, later added, useful shelves. These could of course be removed to create a hanging space if required. (We can easily fit this with a hanging pole at no extra cost if needed).
The cabinet is in beautiful original condition, the walnut having a really great colour and a wonderful warm patina. Rare to find a cabinet like this with such neat proportions, it measures only 211 cms high including its crest, by 118 cms wide and 44 cms deep. This is a 'knock down' design cabinet too, meaning it comes apart for easy transportation and no problem to get around stairs, through narrow doors etc. It also has a working lock and key.
