The Art Deco period, spanning from the 1920s to the 1930s, is characterised by geometric precision, stylised motifs, and a transition from heavy Victorian ornamentation to sleek, modern elegance.

Jewellery from this era frequently utilised platinum, yellow gold, and white gold, often set with old European cut or old mine cut diamonds alongside calibre-cut precious gemstones.

Authentic pieces exhibit hand-crafted settings, characteristic tool marks under magnification, and old-cut diamonds featuring smaller tables, higher crowns, and larger open culets compared to modern brilliant cuts.

An antique ring pairs well with contemporary minimalist bands for a mixed-era stacked look, or it can be worn alone as a focal point against modern tailored clothing.

Preserve vintage jewellery by storing it in a fabric-lined box away from other pieces, removing it during strenuous physical activities, and having professional jewellers periodically inspect the prongs for security.
