Sterling Silver Enamel Hand Painted English Roses Love Heart Compact Case 1951

Description

A stunningly beautiful and rare solid sterling silver and enamel compact. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1951 with the maker being B&Co. It has been beautifully made being of heart form with a hand painted scene of Roses and possibly Forget me Nots to its front. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, the inside is perfect and complete. The enamel is complete and free from chips repairs and cracks. It measures approx. 3.25 inches (8cm) across and top to bottom and weighs 107 grams. A beautifully designed rare piece.
