A beautiful rare English Victorian solid sterling silver card case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1867 with the makers mark being that of Alfred Taylor a very highly regarded silversmith. It has been superbly made been very finely engraved. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, slightly curved in towards the centre. It closes surely. It measures a touch under 4 inches (10cms) tall by 2.75 inches (7cms) wide and weighs 66 grams. A superbly designed beautifully clean example.
