A wonderful quality ANTIQUE SILVER POTPOURRI BOX made by the renowned London silversmith, William Comyns in 1902.
The base of this Sterling Silver Potpourri Box has an embossed or repousse Art Nouveau inspired garland running around its circumference.
The top has a superbly pierced or reticulated design of a wedding scene with a coach and horses, church and well-wishers. The lid fits well and the 5 bar hinge is in very good condition. The box is in excellent condition with virtually no wear visible and is free from any added inscriptions, monograms or initials.
This is a high quality unusual item is made from good gauge silver and would make a superb addition to anyone''s collection or a really special gift for someone.
