Technical Description

A superb and rare pair of 19th century Bristol green glass Mell decanters dating to c1860.

They have their original radial cut mushroom stoppers, each neck having 3 applied rings. Polished pontils.

Mell decanters in 99% of cases would have had cork stoppers, but occasionally you find an example with a glass stopper. To find a pair with stoppers is exceptional.

Excellent, age-related wear as shown. No chips cracks or restoration, clean and clear.
