Antique Silver Mounted Claret Jug

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Silver Cabinet

This is a lovely solid sterling silver-mounted claret jug dating from the early Edwardian era.

It is hallmarked on the side of the collar (and partially inside the lid) for Birmingham 1902. The maker''s mark is slightly worn and is possibly for G Loveridge & Co (George Loveridge). The hob nail glass body is in excellent condition and has a starburst-design base, always a sign of quality. There is one small ding on side of mount otherwise the silver is also perfect.
