Beautiful English Victorian Sterling Silver Card Case 1890 Antique Cased

Description

A beautiful English Victorian antique cased solid sterling silver card case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1890 with the maker being Colen Hewer Cheshire. It has been beautifully designed being engraved with flowers, scrolls and entwined initials. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, just the odd faint mark, the inside is clean. The original outer case is scuffed but its rare to have it. The card case measures approx. 3.25 inches (8cm) tall by 2 inches (5.1cm) wide and weighs 44 grams excluding the outer case. A very pretty piece.

The Silver Squirrel has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
