This is a very smart Afghan Baluch carpet dating from around 1900. With a typically pleasing colour palette of madder red, dark indigo and ivory the carpet has a geometric lattice field of stellar motifs is enclosed by borders of angular latch hook vines flanked by ''''running dog'''' guard stripes. The carpet is in really good condition throughout and measures 166 cm by 95 cm.
