A superb and rare 17th Century Charles II Oak Chest Of Drawers of fabulous condition, colour and patina.
Remarkably retaining all original pear drop handles with decorated back plates, locks and all but one of the original escutcheons. The chest decorated with applied geometric mouldings which were fashionable at this early period, having double panelled ends with old replacement bun feet. The top is just a great colour and in lovely condition with thumb mould to the edge. The original drawer linings run really well and are in very good clean condition, made in Oak.
The chest is of neat proportions and smaller than most from this early period, a beautiful and rare example of its type.
