Prometheus Antiques has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The set are all in excellent condition with full hallmarks for Edinburgh 1943 and the maker Elizabeth Henry Kirkwood. Elizabeth Henry Kirkwood was a silversmith and enamellist that worked with her family business and also exhibited pieces at The Royal Academy, the Scottish Society of Women Artists and the Glasgow Society of Lady Artists, she continued submitting pieces for assay until 1965. These spoons represent a rare example of Elizabeth Kirkwood’s very individual work.
