Early Victorian Tunbridge Ware Footstool.
A lovely small footstool, ideal accessory for any period theme.
We bring to you this charming little early Victorian round footstool made from Walnut around C1850. This rare footstool features the most ornate Boxwood and Ebony Tunbridge Ware inlays below its cross-banded Walnut outer edge and moulded Walnut edge. The pad is covered in a lovely handmade needlepoint tapestry of geometric design in a pink, turquoise and red colour, complete with its traditional padding. We can quote for re-upholstering this stool in a material of your choice if required. The pad unscrews via its lovely handmade wooden thread and nut and the stool stands on its original white porcelain bun feet.
This stool has a lovely Walnut colour and has its original French polished finish. We have sympathetically restored, cleaned and waxed this item to ensure it is completely ready for its new home.
This footstool would look great alongside an antique chair and would be a great addition to any period themed living room.
