This exquisite Edwardian revolving bookcase by John Taylor of Edinburgh is in superb condition. It features a two-tiered book space with three small drawers, each adorned with ornate embossed ring handles. Crafted from solid mahogany, the bookcase boasts elegant inlaid satinwood decorations along the top, drawers, and central splats that connect the tiers. Resting on a rotating cruciform base with casters, it includes the maker''s plaque. This practical and appealing piece provides ample and accessible storage, allowing for a compact library setup in any space.
 
John Taylor and Son, based in Edinburgh, were renowned cabinet makers and upholsterers, established in 1825. They were known for their high-quality craftsmanship and stylish designs, often using the finest timbers.
