A superbly stylish and substantial Swedish or Guatavian antique painted trunk of excellent proportions, measuring an impressive 115cm wide and 76cm tall.

A well constructed and preserved Swedish trunk dating to circa 1830, presented in its rare and original scumble painted finish and featuring its original working lock and hand forged iron handles and strap hinges, a magnificent thing.

A wonderful design, scale and patination, a perfect hall trunk, for boots etc.., a log bin for a large country house, toy box, end of bed etc.., a splendidly versatile antique trunk of considerable decorative appeal.., both function and form.
