Antique Edwardian Mahogany Bookcase and dating from around 1900. Constructed for. Quality mahogany it has a moulded and cross cut cornice with cross banded frieze over two astragal glazed doors with working key and with three original and fully adjustable internal shelves. The base has a moulded edge to the top above a sliding book rest ( see photo) . This is above two moulded panelled doors with fine stringing and working key. Internally there is a single shelf. It is raised on splayed bracket feet joined y a shaped frieze. The top separates from the base for ease of ransporting.
MEASURES: 75” HIGH X 12” DEEPX 37” WIDE & INTERNAL DEPTH 8.5”
With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
