Description

A fantastic Celtic revival brooch dating from the early 1900s and designed by the renowned Art Nouveau jeweller Archibald Knox. The front is set with a regal purple amethyst cabochon and the reverse is stamped STERLING and CYMRIC; Cymric was a range of gold and silver jewellery produced by the iconic retailer Libertys, an in-house line designed from 1899 following the success of imported Jugendstil designs from Germany.

The brooch fixes with a simple C clasp.

In very good antique condition.
