Description

A very beautiful English antique solid sterling silver two handled lidded bowl or porringer cup and cover. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1918 with the maker being Asprey & Co Ltd. It has been superbly designed with the lid having three feet so it can be also used as a tray for the bowl. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs, no engravings. The bowl measures approx. 6 inches (15.2cm) across including the handles and 3.75 inches (9.2cm) across excluding them by 2.75 inches (6.8cm) tall and the lid / tray 3.75 inches (9.5cm) across and combined weighs 230 grams. A top quality well made piece.
