A stunning antique French ormolu mounted escritoire desk. This dates from around the 1930�s.It is has a very beautiful and useful design, with a very elegant form. There are high quality gilt metal ormolu mounts, and the upper doors have beautifully painted plaques. The drawer opens out to reveal a tooled leather writing surface, this can also be slid back to reveal extra storage space.We have had this re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age.
