A truly stunning and well made piece, this would have been made for an exhibition to show off the cabinet makers skill, it is an 1860 - 1880 Walnut partner desk, it has two cupboards and three drawers each side so two ''partners'' can share it, the top is a deep oxblood with gold tooling, it is one of the finest hides I have ever seen and is beautifully aged
The 17th century panels are nothing short of works of art, had they not been built in to this desk they would have sold for around £3000-£4000 per panel, they are sublime and belong in a gallery, the cabinet maker has taken time to apply the panels to the inside knee hole space, this really was a no expensive spared commission
This really is a piece of art furniture in every sense, it looks important and expensive from every angle, you will be hard pressed to find and more elaborate piece anywhere in the world today
The condition is excellent, we have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, there will be age and use related patina marks here and there but nothing to note, it honestly look amazing
Transport wise the desk splits in to three easy to transport pieces as pictured
