Queens Burmese Ware is a type of translucent art glass developed in the late 19th century that shades from pale yellow at the base to salmon pink at the rim. The effect was achieved by reheating specific areas of gold- and uranium-bearing glass during production.

The glass batch was formulated with uranium oxide and gold, giving it a soft yellow body. Reheating turned the upper section pink, after which an acid bath created a distinctive matte satin finish before hand-painted enamels were applied.

Authentic pieces feature a seamless colour gradient between yellow and pink, a matte satin surface, and precise hand-painted botanical or polychrome decoration. Many English examples bear factory stamps or registered design numbers printed on the base.

Display small art glass vessels on elevated surfaces such as mantelpieces or sideboards where light can diffuse through the body. Grouping items with neutral ceramics or polished wood allows the subtle colour gradient to stand out.
