A George V Jubilee Edward & Sons Hallmarked Sterling Silver Bullet Teapot

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a George V hallmarked sterling silver bullet form teapot. It was assayed in London in 1935 and bears the jubilee mark. It was made by and retailed by Edward & Sons in Glasgow and bears their retail mark to the underside.

The teapot is of simple form with a fruitwood handle and finial, with some detail to the bases of the handle and the spout. It is raised on a circular footed base. Both the body and the lid are hallmarked.

It is in generally good condition with some small dents and some light marks to the surface. The lid opens and closes smoothly.

It weighs 331g / 10.67 oz t in total
