Large Beautiful French Sterling Silver Sea Food Serving Spoon C1900 Antique 84g

Description

A super quality large French antique solid sterling silver serving spoon, most likely a seafood server. It is hallmarked with the French 950 Mercury head mark along with a makers mark. I would date it to c1900. It has been beautifully made with the bowl being gilded in the form of a shell and has an ornate terminal. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 8.75 inches (22.2cm) long by 3.25 inches (8.4cm) wide and weighs 84 grams. A very well made piece.
