Brass-bound and stud-work black leather-bound camphor wood trunk of large scale and proportions. Brass corners and banding with decorative brass stud decoration. The ends fitted with original cast-brass carrying handles The hinged lid with a ring handle , opening to reveal the majority of the original vivid pink lining paper together with seemingly original fabric stays to the lid , and bearing a label of it’s Chinese , probably Cantonese , manufacturer.

The top having a central studded oval design , the front with a decorative studded swagged design.
In excellent original condition with all brass and studs present. The brass having achieved a dark patinated surface with a verdigris bronze style appearance. The trunk having been sympathetically cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
