Technical Description

A truly and rare set of six port wine glasses designed in Stourbridge by Joseph Keller. The cup bowls show incredibly fine engraved detail portraying dragonfly's with flowers, leaves, and ferns. Notch cut stems and conical feet with polished pontils.

Joseph Keller was famous for his wonderful naturalistic engravings portraying spiders, butterflies and dragonfly’s, the latter being rare and a set of six even more so.

Date & Origin

England, c1875. Period of George II.

Condition

Excellent, age-related wear as shown. No chips cracks or restoration
