Description

An exceptional example of this much sought after Ceylan Vase from a private collection by the celebrated French designer and glassmaker René Lalique. Introduced by Lalique into his range on 16th May 1924 this opalescent glass vase has subtle blue staining, a distinctive characteristic of many of Lalique's creations. The vase features four pairs of raised parakeets amongst a background of branches. The vase is 24.5 cm in height and is catalogue number 905 in the Felix Marcilhac Catalogue of Lalique's work. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. The vase is etched with R LALIQUE FRANCE to the base.
