Rare Sterling Silver Blue Enamel Marcasite Cigarette Case 1926 Art Deco

Description

A beautiful rare Art Deco solid sterling silver and enamel cigarette / cheroot case. It is hallmarked with the import marks for Glasgow 1926 with the importer being F B Reynolds. It has been beautifully made having deep blue guilloche enamel front exterior with marcasite set flowers and the back has been engine turned. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. The enamel is complete and free from chips repairs scratches and cracks, the inside in gilded. One tiny marcasite missing - see photo. It measures approx. 3.5 inches (8.6cm) long by 2 inches (5.1cm) wide and weighs 76 grams. A beautifully designed rare piece.
