Beautiful Pair Of Late 19th Century Samson Table Lamps

This is a very pretty pair of porcelain table lamps in the Chinese taste, likely by Samson of Paris dating from around 1920. The lamps have beautiful hand painted decoration in famille rose colours of chrysanthemums and prunus and are mounted on gilt metal bases with attractive chinoiserie designs to them. In excellent condition, the urns have no breaks or restoration at all, and they both have their original brass cage shade support with original swirly pink glass bobbin decoration to the top. The lamps have been rewired to modern standards with braided cables to suit the age and style. They stand 60 cms high and are 18 cms in diameter, the bases being 16 cms square. Rare to find in such excellent condition.
