Table lustres are decorative glass or crystal candle holders fitted with suspended faceted prisms designed to catch and refract light across a room. Popular during the Regency era in Britain, they were primarily placed on dining tables, sideboards, or mantelpieces.

Early 19th-century lustres were hand-blown and hand-cut using wheel-engraving techniques to create geometric patterns on the stems and bases. The prism drops were individually cut, hand-polished, and suspended from the drip pan using thin wire metal connectors.
