The World is Made of Glass Ltd. has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The glass is in excellent condition for its age.
It has a rough pontil mark on the underside of the foot.

The glass has an extended rounded funnel-shaped bowl measuring 5.5 cm (2.2 inches) in diameter at the rim. The bowl is plain and sits on a double series opaque twist stem consisting of nineteen white enamel 'cotton' strands wound around a central twist of two white enamel cords. The stem ends in a conical foot which measures 8 cm (3.2 inches) in diameter. The glass is 20 cm (8 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. The bowl is very slightly cloudy. There is a small white inclusion in the metal of the foot and numerous minute unburst bubbles in the metal of the bowl and foot, all dating from manufacture.
High quality soda glass weighing in at 140 g. (~ 5 oz.).
