Antique Silver Plated and Gilt Planter C1880

19th century
Description

This is a smart antique silver plated and gilt planter. The circular gilded pedestal base is decorated with scrolls and leaves. Wasted in the middle with a fluted design. The bulbous silver plated body is embossed with semi nude figures both reclining or standing with serpents, trees, face of a man and a winged cherub with mounted pillars and benches. Bead mounted to the top. c1880 British made.

Height: 26.75cm (10.5")

Diameter at top: 15.5cm (6.25")
