Large Solid Silver Table Tobacco Cigar Box 1929 Stratford Hospital Antique 148g

Description

A beautiful large Dutch solid silver table box. It is hallmarked with the Dutch Lion mark a makers mark GS and the date letter T for 1929. It has been beautifully designed with the lid being engraved depicting a farm scene. The inside has been engraved with an inscription 'To Patsy in memory of many happy hours spent together at Queen Mary's Hospital Stratford from Edith L Lyle June 13th 1929'. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the odd faint mark, the inside is clean. It measures approx. 5.25 inches (13cms) long by 3.25 inches (8cms) wide by 1 inch (2.6cms) tall and weighs 148 grams. A very high quality interesting example.
