French Louis XV Style Cylinder Escritoire

A beautifully made French mahogany cylinder desk with ormolu mounted decoration. The cylinder lid is painted with a scene depicting a young woman with courtiers and the ormolu galleried top is inset with rouge marble. The writing surface , which is covered in a velvet/ felt style cloth which has a small ink stain, slides forward, delivering enough work space for a PC. All in very good condition, well made and substantial, culminating on reeded legs.
