• Vintage 9ct Gold Pearl Crown Screwback Earrings

A pair of vintage gold and seed pearl nautical crown sweetheart earrings. Beautifully made and top notch quality, the crowns are cleverly designed to reflect ships' masts and sails - originally such items were given by servicemen of the Royal Navy and Merchant Services Naval Crown to their sweethearts and wives before they went overseas to war.

The earrings are in excellent vintage condition, the pearls have a lovely shining nacre and the screwbacks work perfectly.

• Condition: Excellent vintage condition.

• Fixing: Screw backs for pierced or non-pierced ears.

• Hallmarks/stamps: Marked 9CT on the back of each screw turner and fully hallmarked on the back of each crown for nine-carat gold, Birmingham 1958.

• Size: The crowns measure approximately 12mm wide x 7mm high, from top of the crown to the bottom of the wire is 12mm.

• Weight: 1.5g.
