Unusual and Exquisite Cold Painted Bronze Chics on a Crystal Glass Pen Tray, c. 1900, probably Austrian, and of the sweetest design I think I have ever seen
The proportions are what make this work so well—understated yet incredibly elegant. There is no maker''s mark on either the glass or birds; the glass looks to be of Bacarrat quality, and the whole piece is just exquisite. Offered in very good condition with no damage to the glass and the usual paint wear consistent with age. A highly attractive piece perfect for any desk.
