Technical Description
A very elegant pair of Georgian Regency champagne flutes dating to c1830.
They have long narrow conical bowls, above angular knop stems. Conical feet with polished pontils.

In 1830, the suspension bridge at Montrose, Scotland, collapsed due to weight and movement of a crowd of boat race followers. The twin-hulled iron paddle steamer ''Lord Dundas'' was launched...built for service on the Forth and Clyde Canal which is still used by narrow boats almost 200 years later
