A fine Georgian glass toddy lifter dating to c1820.
It has an applied neck ring with bands of prism cuts below. Slice cuts to the shoulders.
You place the toddy lifter into the liquid and let the reservoir at the base fill. Place you finger over the small hole at the top and move to the glass and release, emptying the contents into the glass.

This Toddy Lifter comes from the Michael Wallis Toddy Lifter collection put together over a 45 year period. To our knowledge, it is the largest and more comprehensive collection that exists with almost 80 different examples in size, cutting, knops and other decoration.
