Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Combination Sovereign Case - 1900

Description

An unusual antique Victorian sterling silver combination Sovereign case which has a plain rectangular body and has been designed to hold Sovereigns and half Sovereigns. There is a push button to open the lid which reveals the spring mechanisms to house the coins. There is also a clip attached to the inside of the lid to hold stamps which makes this Sovereign case more desirable. It remains in excellent condition.

Length: 6.5 cms (2.6")

Width: 3.7 cms (1.5")

Weight: 60 grams

It was hallmarked in Birmingham for 1900 by Deakin & Francis.
