A Decorative Georgian Painted Box on Stand

Description

An extremely decorative late Georgian painted box on turned legs with brass casters. original paint and original fittings. The exterior with the remains of paper vignettes of landscaped with cranes and reeds. Lovely large brass side lifting handles. Original lock with KEY. Turned painted legs which can be removed by unscrewing (a common feature of campaign furniture). The interior is correct and the lid has good quality brass folding stays.

Overall an extremely 'in vogue' piece in very fashionable colours and in untouched condition.

78 cms wide by 47 cms deep and 59 cms high.

Would work as an end of sofa lamp or drinks table.
