This Victorian 18ct yellow gold bracelet combines a substantial curb link chain with a prominent double heart central motif. The two heart-shaped green chrysoberyl stones are set in collet mounts and bordered by individual seed pearls, suspended from a small decorative ring link. The photograph reveals a dark blue velvet interior lining inside a fitted jewellery box, a gold-toned clasp mechanism at the chain link junction, and natural variations in the green hue of the polished chrysoberyl stones. The piece measures 17 cm in length and weighs 12.4g, displaying a traditional hinged link construction and detailed collet settings. Today, such a bracelet finds its place as a wearable antique or a distinguished addition to a private jewellery collection. It suits display within a vintage jewellery box on a dressing table or vanity when not worn, and integrates into traditional interior settings that appreciate period English craftsmanship. The piece maintains its utility for formal wear or special occasions, functioning as a tangible piece of late nineteenth-century personal adornment.

Double heart motifs in Victorian jewellery symbolised two souls united in affection, making them popular choices for sentimental gifts, betrothals, and wedding presents during the nineteenth century.

Goldsmiths commonly paired 18ct yellow gold curb chains with natural seed pearls and chrysoberyl, a gemstone valued for its yellowish-green tone and chatoyant optical properties.

Authentic pieces from this period frequently feature hand-finished curb links, closed or detailed collet gem settings, and Victorian hallmarks or makers marks consistent with regional assay offices.

Antique gold curb chain bracelets serve as versatile accent pieces, ideal for wearing individually alongside modern tailoring or stacked with understated contemporary gold cuffs.

Store the item in a dry, fabric-lined jewellery box away from direct light, wipe the gold gently with a soft lint-free cloth, and avoid submerging seed pearls in water or exposing them to perfumes.
