A top quality george III period solid silver snuff box with a facetted 'blue john' stone to the top.engraved top, sides and base.hallmarked to the base, london 1806.made by thomas whipps & edward robinson.excellent condition.measures 3" X 2" X 1.5"high.

*blue john is an agate stone mined in derbyshire. An expensive stone which became a favourite with queen victoria.

Nationwide delivery £8 special post.
