Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

The fixture includes a decorative ring, scrolling arms, glass bead swags, graduated tiers of long cut glass drops, and a single crystal drop at the base suspended on three chains, holding a B22 large bayonet bulb holder. The dimensions measure H: 44 W: 28 D: 28 centimetres, with a width excluding finials of 20 centimetres and a height excluding the three suspension chains of 23 centimetres. It functions as a ceiling light fixture suited for installation in interior spaces.

FAQs

Early 20th century chandeliers typically combine metal framework, such as brass, with faceted crystal or glass prisms suspended in cascading tiers to refract light effectively.

These light fittings traditionally feature cast brass or bronze frames, steel or brass chains, and high-lead glass or cut crystal drops attached with wire pins.

Authentic examples often display hand-cut crystal drops with subtle hand-crafted variations, natural brass patination, and original hand-pinned wired connections between prisms.

A tiered crystal pendant light introduces texture and reflected illumination into hallway ceilings, contemporary dining areas, or compact bedroom spaces.

Dust the drops regularly with a dry microfibre cloth, and gently wipe individual crystal prisms using a dilute solution of isopropyl alcohol and water without pulling on the wiring.
