We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Edwardian silver, produced during the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, frequently incorporates lighter, more delicate motifs inspired by eighteenth-century styles such as Neo-Classicism and Rococo, contrasting with the heavier ornamentation of the preceding Victorian era.

These pieces were typically crafted from sterling silver, marked by a standard fineness of 92.5 percent, and often utilised techniques such as repousse, chasing, and detailed hand-engraving to create intricate surface patterns.

Authenticity is verified through clear hallmarks stamped directly onto the metal, which generally include the makers mark, the sterling standard mark, the town assay office mark, and a date letter corresponding to the specific year of production.

An antique silver bowl functions effectively as a focal point on a sideboard or coffee table, contrasting sharply with modern minimalist decor or complementing traditional settings when displayed alongside glassware and ceramics.

Preservation requires regular dusting with a soft cloth, minimal use of non-abrasive silver polishes only when necessary to remove tarnish, and storage in a dry, temperature-controlled environment away from direct sunlight.
