There is a pretty design both back and front and a hallmark for 9ct gold back and front which means the fittings and sides are not gold. The locket is in very excellent condition for its age with some light wear to the gold but no dings or dents and also in excellent original condition inside. Ready to use inside with two photographic compartments. It is good medium sized useable locket with a gold bale. Opens and closes well. Total weight is 4.4g
